When you access our website, information of a general nature is being recorded automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of the web browser, the operating system utilised, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar information. This is exclusively information that does not allow for inferences about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of the web pages you requested and occurs compulsorily upon using the Internet. We statistically analyse anonymous information of this nature to optimise our Internet presence and the technology behind it. Legal basis: Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 Lit. f GDPR.

Cookies
Like a lot of other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that a webserver transmits to your hard drive. This way, we automatically receive certain data, such as IP address, browser utilised, operating system, about your computer and your connection to the Internet. Cookies cannot be utilised to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in the cookies, we can make your navigation easier and provide for the correct displaying of our web pages. In no case will we pass the recorded data on to any third party nor will we link it with personally identifiable information without your approval. Of course, you may also – in principle – browse our website without cookies. Most web browsers are by default configured such that they accept cookies. You can deactivate the utilisation of cookies at any time via the respective setting of your browser. Please utilise your web browser’s help functions to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that select functions of our website may not be functional if you deactivate the utilisation of cookies.

Legal basis: Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 Lit. f GDPR.

If you are registered with us, you may access those contents and services that we offer only to registered users. In addition, registered users have the option – at any time – to modify or delete the data provided upon registration. We do, of course, provide you – at any time – with information about the personal data we are storing about you. Unless there are statutory retention obligations to the contrary, we will gladly rectify or delete said data upon your request. To establish contact in connection with this, please peruse the contact data listed at the end of this privacy policy.

Legal basis: Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 Lit. a GDPR.

To protect the security of your data in transit, we utilise state-of-the-art encryption methods (for example SSL) over HTTPS.

Contact form
If you establish contact with us by e-mail or via the contact form, the information you provided there will be stored for the purposes of processing your inquiry as well as for potential follow-up questions.

Legal basis: Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 Lit. a GDPR.

Utilisation of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer, and which allow for an analysis of your utilisation of the website. The information that the cookie generates about your utilisation of this website is generally transferred to and stored on a server operated by Google in the USA. However, due to activation of IP anonymisation on these web pages, your IP address will be shortened first by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contract states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional circumstances will the complete IP address be transferred to a server of Google in the USA and then shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities and for providing other services relating to website utilisation and internet usage to the operator of the website. The IP address transmitted by your browser – as part of Google Analytics – is not combined with other data of Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies through a corresponding setting of your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use all features of this website to their fullest extent possible. You can, furthermore, prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:

Browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics.

Additionally, or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you may prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link.
In the process, an opt-out cookie is installed on your device. This way, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser, Google Analytics is prevented from the collection of data for this website and for this browser in the future.

Legal basis: Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 Lit. f GDPR.

Utilisation of script libraries (Google Webfonts)
To represent our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we utilise script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website.
To prevent repeated loading, Google Webfonts are transmitted into your browser’s cache. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or is blocking access to them, contents are displayed in a standard font. The calling up of script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. In this, it is theoretically possible – but presently not clear if and, where applicable, for which purposes – that the operators of the respective libraries are collecting data. The privacy policy of the operator of the library, Google, is located at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Utilisation of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API to visually represent geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data regarding the use of the map functions. For more detailed information regarding the data processing by Google, see the Google privacy notes. There, you can also change your personal privacy settings in the privacy centre. For detailed instructions regarding the management of your own data in connection with Google products, see here.

Embedded YouTube videos
On some of our web pages, we embed YouTube videos. Operator of the respective plug-in is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to the servers of YouTube is established. In the process, YouTube is told which page you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can attribute your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this, by logging out of your YouTube account, first.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect indications regarding the user behaviour.

Those who have deactived cookies for the Google Ad programme also will not have to expect the storing of any such cookies when watching a YouTube video. But YouTube also stored non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you have to block the storing of cookies in the browser. For addition information regarding data protection at “YouTube”, see the privacy policy of the provider at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

In order for a restriction of data to be taken into consideration at any time, said data must be retained in a restriction file for inspection purposes. (Art. 7 Par. 3 GDPR)

For your renewed visit, the new privacy policy shall then apply.
